CLOCKAUDIO
Since its formation in 1994, Hampshire (UK) based Clockaudio has achieved a position of high regard within the professional audio industry. The company's reputation has been built on sound principles; its dedication to quality and service has gained the respect of all those who have encountered its products and staff. Today, tributes and endorsements continue to precede Clockaudio into an ever-wider territory, helping the company to attract worldwide representation without the fanfare of its contemporaries. Audio Professionals now actively seek out and recommend Clockaudio for its reputation as a trusted, proactive and dedicated manufacturer, and for its recognised customer driven approach to audio solutions. Central to this is Clockaudio's in house research and development facility, which allows clients to explore customised prototypes and develop incredibly specific briefs in partnership directly with the manufacturer, often working to very short deadlines and in low volumes. This partnership approach has struck a chord with consultants and contractors alike, giving them the opportunity to become involved in developing the ideal solution rather than having to make do with the most suitable off the shelf item. This ability to customise is just one of the many factors which make the Clockaudio of today clearly different in a world of identikit manufacturers. Fourteen years since its inception, Clockaudio remains true to its founding principles - quality and service.more...

NEUMANN
It is difficult to imagine a professional audio studio without a Neumann microphone. For decades, Neumann has been regarded worldwide as the standard-setting, leading manufacturer of studio microphones. Many products introduced in the history of the company have become milestones of professional audio technology. It is no accident that when listing their equipment, audio studios almost always put Neumann microphones at the top of the list – they are a recognized sign of a highly professional operation. “Our decades of success are based on an uncompromising, quality-oriented approach, in both the development and manufacture of our products,” explains Wolfgang Fraissinet, President of Marketing/Sales. “On the rare occasions that servicing is required, Neumann Berlin repairs all of its microphones produced since the second world war, to a large extent using the original spare parts.” This is a servicing pledge which is hard to equal. All this gives the customer the certainty of acquiring a product with unsurpassed sound quality, reliability and lasting value, an investment that usually survives several generations of audio engineers. Although Neumann microphones certainly are not cheap, professionals know from their daily experience that they are worth the cost. Many owners of small home recording studios also dream of someday having “a real Neumann” of their own. In addition to countless audio engineers who use Neumann microphones in their studio productions, users of the high-tech products from Berlin include world-famous musicians. However, the company that was founded in Berlin in the year 1928 was also concerned for a long time with other technology in addition to microphones. The versatile inventive genius and pioneer Georg Neumann simultaneously developed phonograph record-cutting machines and rechargeable batteries. The technology of the latter remains the basis for today's omnipresent storage batteries. For many years, the company also built highly customized sound production units for radio studios, theaters and concert halls. In the year 1991 Neumann became an important part of the Sennheiser Group. The company now concentrates on its absolutely core area of expertise: high-end microphone technology for studios, and increasingly also for the stage. A highlight of the history of the company so far is certainly the Technical Grammy of 1999, awarded in recognition of all of its technological accomplishments. At the beginning of the new millennium, with the development of the Solution-D digital microphone system Neumann substantiated its continuing technological leadership in the area of innovative, future-oriented audio technology. The company headquarters, with the development, marketing, sales and service departments, continues to be located in Berlin, where the 75th anniversary of the company was celebrated in 2003. Here Presidents Wolfgang Fraissinet (Marketing/Sales) and Stephan Peus (Development) guide the future of the company. As of a few years ago, manufacturing in ultraclean room conditions which meet the highest international standards is carried out in Wedemark, near Hannover. A worldwide distribution network, centered in Berlin, ensures that even in the most remote parts of the world customers can not only obtain “their” Neumanns but can also find a personal Neumann representative.more...
