LISTEN
With proven expertise in electrical engineering, marketing, sales in the broadcast and audio/visual industries, Russell Gentner, Keldon Paxman, Cory Schaeffer and Kelli Lundgren founded Listen Technologies Corporation in 1998. Having successfully founded and taken public Gentner Communications Corporation (now ClearOne), Russ leads the new team as president, focusing Listen on the wireless audio market. Listen's charter is to be a leading provider of solutions for assistive listening, tour groups, language interpretation, soundfield and conferencing applications. At the company's birth in 1998, Listen offered two transmitters (the LT-800 Stationary Transmitter and LT-700 Portable Transmitter) and two personal receivers (the LR-500 Programmable Display Receiver and LR-400 Display Receiver). These early trend setters included a built-in LCD display, 57 tunable channels, charging circuitry (SmartChargeTM), and the best audio quality in the industry. All four products have seen various improvements over the years as Listen responded to customer feedback. In February of 2001, Listen introduced the LR-600 Wireless Speaker/Receiver and LR-300 Digital Receiver, offering even more flexibility and options to its customers. In 2002, Listen announced plans to revolutionize the wireless audio industry with the introduction of SQTM technology. This combination of audio improvements makes Listen systems' signal-to-noise ratio better than 80 dB (significantly greater than the industry standard). This means increased audio performance, so Listen wireless audio can be used for the most demanding of applications. Listen also introduced the LR-100 Stationary Receiver/Power Amplifier, a stationary auditory assistance receiver with a built-in power amplifier. Listen partnered with Bosch Security Systems in the Spring of 2004, introducing Integrus, the world's first 100% digital IR wireless transmission system. Not only did Integrus set the new world standard for digital audio quality, it delivered 32 simultaneous channels. Integrus was the perfect complement to the Listen FM product line. Then, in January 2005, Bosch and Listen took another step forward when Listen was named as the exclusive distributor of the Bosch conferencing solutions for the USA. This included Integrus as well as Bosch's world-leading line of analog and digital conferencing microphones. Listen relies on its customers for direction in developing new technologies, products and accessories to meet market needs. Listen's strength lies in its people -- not only the staff, but also the manufacturing representatives, international distributors, authorized dealers, and especially the end users.more...
CLOCKAUDIO
Since its formation in 1994, Hampshire (UK) based Clockaudio has achieved a position of high regard within the professional audio industry. The company's reputation has been built on sound principles; its dedication to quality and service has gained the respect of all those who have encountered its products and staff. Today, tributes and endorsements continue to precede Clockaudio into an ever-wider territory, helping the company to attract worldwide representation without the fanfare of its contemporaries. Audio Professionals now actively seek out and recommend Clockaudio for its reputation as a trusted, proactive and dedicated manufacturer, and for its recognised customer driven approach to audio solutions. Central to this is Clockaudio's in house research and development facility, which allows clients to explore customised prototypes and develop incredibly specific briefs in partnership directly with the manufacturer, often working to very short deadlines and in low volumes. This partnership approach has struck a chord with consultants and contractors alike, giving them the opportunity to become involved in developing the ideal solution rather than having to make do with the most suitable off the shelf item. This ability to customise is just one of the many factors which make the Clockaudio of today clearly different in a world of identikit manufacturers. Fourteen years since its inception, Clockaudio remains true to its founding principles - quality and service.more...
